The ordinance includes a declaration of county policy for the preservation of natural beauty, provides for larger lots in steep terrain, and provides an alternate method of subdivision based on the "cluster" or “unit” development principle. In addition, it includes pro* posals for rural streets without curb and gutter, and for streets in subdivisions above normal snow level. 484, Grass Valley Tax Same The Grass Valley tax rate of $2 per $100 assessed valuation will remain the same for this fiscal year, it was determined last week by the Grass Valley City Council. The rate breaks down into $1 for general fund, 30 cents for sewer fund, 25 cents for recrea~ tion, 10 cents for city library, and 35 cents for bond redemption.
