Mitchell
promoted
Jere L. Mitchell,, Lands
Forester on the Truckee
District, is being promoted to
District Ranger of the Big Bear
Lake, Supervisor Robert B.
Allison announced today.
Mitchell’s new assignment is
located on the San Bernardino
National Forest in Southern
California.
Mr. Mitchell will be
responsible for administering
all phases of land management
occurring on National Forest
land in the Big Bear Lake Area.
His new assignment will
commence on September 16,
1973.
Mitchell has worked for the
Forest Service since 1959.
During this period he has held
assignments on five National
Forests within California
involving activities in Timber
Management, Recreation and
Range Management. His Forest
‘Service career was interrupted
in 1962 for two y en he
took an assignment with the
‘Peace Corps in Equador.
Mr. Mitchell, his wife and
three children will be moving
shortly to their new location at
-Big Bear Lake.

flight and got her driver's license on *he same day. Merna was 16 on Wednesday; she is a junior at Nevada Union High School and the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Prince of Grass Valiey.

Builders Exchange became official Monday evening
at Dilley's with Cecil Davidson (center) replacing the
retiring Chet Mell (left) as executive manager.
President Dennis Hill (right) presided at the dinnermeeting. Mell has been representing the local con-— -.
struction contractors’ organization for the past six
years and will leave soon for a tour of the Orient. The
group was organized 15 years ago to assist those involved in construction and serves as a liaison between the builder and the local reliable contractor as
opposed to the incompetent or “fly-by-night”
