Sarcent’s ‘Recerrion,—Wednesday night Hon. Aaron A, Sargent, .
United States Senator for California,
arrived in San Francisco. He was
received by the Mayor of the city,by
a delegation from the Board of Supervisors, by the military and by
citizens generally. Among those
who turned out te do honor to the
Senator were very many who do not
agree with him’ in politics, and who
do not.approve his political course.
The ovation, for. the receptien
amounted to an_ ovation, was made
because Senator Sargent has ably,
faithfully and most untieingly represented the interésts of his State in
the Senate and before the Departments at Washington. He has not
neglected to attend to the requests
-of any person,-high-or-low, rich or
poot, made to him, and the a:tentidn has always been prompt. Such
energy and ability as he has shown
deserves the reward of a general approval.—Grass Valley Union.
