Shaft No. 2, where the main hoisting works will be located, is now 300 feet deep. This ts along ‘side the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad track, and is known _as the cld Brace Lee shaft, out of which so many rich specimens were taken in years gone by. Shaft No. 3 is located on the Mohegan ground, and is down 60 feet, the rock paying well all the way from near the surface. In these shafts there is enough ore already developed to supply a 20 stamp mill for some time to come The company own 120 acres of land, including 80 acres of very rich gravei which it will pay handsomely to drift. Some of our best judges predict that within a few months this property will show up as Well as any in this seetien of eountry. There is a great deal of rich quartz in that vicinity, and it will be brought to light by the parties who have taken this property in band. No expense or pains will be spared to render this event the most prominent one of the kind which has ever yet transpired in Nevada county.
