The People of the State of California send
Greeting: To JOSEPH TAYLOR, defendant. You are hereby required
to appear in an action brought ‘against
yeu in the Superior Court of the County of
evada, State of California, on the tenth
day of March 1884, by CENTRAL PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, _ plaintiff, and to answer the complaint filed
therein,within ten days (exclusive of the
day of service) after the service on
you of this Summons, if served within this
county ; or, if served out of this county,
within thirty days, or judgment will be taken
against you by default, according to the
prayer of said complaint. Thesaid action
is brought to obtain a judgment that there
is due from said defendant, Joseph Taylor,
to plaintiff and by virtue of a certain contract fully set forth in said complaint, the
sum of $704.00 for the remainder of purchase
money degignated in said contract, and interest on said remainder of purchase money
from the 14th day of October, 1871, to the
14th day of October 1883. Thatsaid defendant, Joseph Taylor, performed said agreement: and pay to plaintiff within thirty
days from the date of the entry of the decree
herein, the amounts due to plaintiff upon
said agreement. Thatin case the said defendant, Joseph Tayler, fails to pay te plaintiff the said amounts within said thirty days
then and from that time, the defendant

following tract of land and premises situate
in the County of Nevada, State of California, and described in said contract, to wit:
