Sec. 1. Any person Or persons who shall throw

enjoyment of life or property, shall upon con. ’
vietion thereof, be fined in any sum not less than
ten and to exceed fifty dollars or be imprisoned
in the city prisou net exceeding ten days.
Sec.3. All persona, owners or occupants of
property withih the limits of this city are required.to remove from their pri mises, and from the
streets adjoining the same and dispose of in such
a manreras not to interfere with the health or
comfort of other citizens, all slaughter houses, .
decayed animal or vegetable mutter, standing”
pools, and every detriment to public health. On
every faiiure to comp.y with the provision of
this section, the party offending shall on conviction thereof be fined in any sum not less than ten
and net to exceed fifty deliars, or be imprisoned
in the city pees not excecding ten days.

areory ANCE NO. 9—An ordinance to protect the City from Fire.
’ The Trustees of the city of Nevada do ordain
as tollowe ; .
Sec. 1. It shall be the duty of the owner, oceupant of every dwelling house, kitchen, storehouse, shop. or other buildings in which a stove
or stoves are used within the corporate limits of
the city of Nevada, to connect every stove pipe,
used in said building, with a brick flue or cnimney, at. or below the sana where said pipe passes the first wall or ceiling, in such a manner that
the pipe shall not pass nearer than four inches
of any wood or other combustible material, said
chimney to extend thirty s)x inches above the
roof or outer wall of said buijding.
Sec. 2. It shail be the duty of the owner or
occupant of every tenan‘ed building within the
corporate limitsof the city of Nevadato construct aad keep on hand a ladder of sufficient
length to reach the roof of said buildin, to be
used iu case of fire.
See. 3. Any person who shall fail to comply
with the provisions of thie ordinance shali on
‘conviction thereot be fined in any sum not tess
not less.than ten and not to exceed one hundred
dollars or be imprisoned in the cityprison not
to exceed ten days.
