The time-for May parties, picnics,
etc., is fast approaching, but as yet
no move has been made by. eur
ehurches or schools in that direction,
‘although the “little ones’? are dis-eussing the matter very freely among

work te be done in the way of preliminaries, such as appointing committees from the various schools, to

the May festival shall-be held, appointing of sub-committees, all of
which will take time, so that it will
be the middle of May before the party will take place. Let the move-'

The Firsi Installment Direct from
the East, 4
Late at night and early in the
morning, teams were unloading in
front of Aschheim Bros., corner of
Broad and Pine streets, the first installment. of Spring and Summer
Clothing direct from the East. As
wagon after wagon deposited its load,
the street for a considerable distance
was lined with boxes, ffunks, valises,
bandboxés, etc. It is certainly the
largest stock ever brought to Nevada
City. The Aschheim Bres. intend
to run a lively opposition to all high
prices, and will sell twenty-five per
cent. cheaper, than any other honse
in the city. Being the only clothing
dealers in this county who import
goods direct from the East, it is evident to every observing miiid, that
they ean afford to sell Clothing mich
cheaper than those firms who buy

From the Congregationalist (Boston.)
In this age of fast things, our people
make no nice distinctions, but whether
their occupation be walking, riding, working, reading, or eating, they do them all
with a rush; consequently we are the most
dyspéptic people in the world. As it is too
late to remedy the cause in our own cases,
the best thing to be done is to-find some
way to change the effect, and this can.be
done by Wurre’s SPECIALTY FOR DysPEPsia,
which from pure merit and virtue alone is
fast overtaking, and bids fair to exceed in
its sale, all the old popular medicines of
the day.

Mrs: H. C. Lord, during last winter was afflicted with dyspepsia in the most obstinate

various remedies without relief, saw your
