Bulletin boards were being erected at this city yesterday on which to display the posters for Sells Brothers’ Circus which is coming this way. One about 75 feet long and 20 feet high stands on Sacramento street above the Dancing Academy, and —another 50 feet long and 16 feet: high decorates the bed of Deer creek between the Main and Broad street bridges. Half Fare. \ Members of the G. A. R. and their families who intend to go from this county to the encampment in San Francisco will be furnnished transportation over the Nevada County Narrow Gauge and the Central Pacific railroads at half the regular rate. Tickets will be issued on and after July 25th and -until such time as may be hereafter announced. eH ~_>o-—---— Quartz on the Ridge. Prospecting for quartz continues to be actively pursued in the vicinity of North San Juan and withthe most encouraging results.
