A telegram from E. K. Downer, at ;
Forest City, states that the Pliocene
shaft is at last in gravel and washed
soulders, with a mixteare of pipe
day. This is encouraging information. The company owning ‘this
property has experienced difficulty
after ditliculty of the "most aggravating character. The shaft is now
down 232 feet. ‘Satarday morning
