The roads, though very muddy, are passable in every direction, and waile even steamboats are. compelled to stop on account of the storm, our stages continue to run. We learn of little damage to ditches, flumes or reservoirs, afd there is no danger of flooded fields or overflowed towns in this locality. The rain has mo terrors for the miner, but he dooks upon the ‘storm as his benefactor and rejoices in the prospect of “big returns” when he cleans up after the first run, Nevada county can count up the benefits of the recent storm in thousands and its damage in tens, placing an immense balance on the side ot the benefits. a The Sterm in Eureka Tewnship.
