Result of Reckless Drivee.
Yesterday forenoon, while, attempting to turn the corner of Broatt
and Pirestreetsat a-breakneck speed,
Lincoln. Edwaids, duiver of the Bay
‘State Market delivery team, ran his
wagon against the large curbstone at
Vinton’s drug store, The shock
of the planking did not hurt bim.
The wagon stopped at the scene of
eollision,'but the horses,/one of which
fell down; soon got -under headway
again and dashed up Broad street
carrying the pole with them.
extensive damage was done, but that
was simply because no oae happened
to be in the way, of the ‘runaways. "
The officers ought to enforce the
law against reckless driving in the
corporate limits. Our attention bh
been called to more than one person
who violates it daily.
ae
The Fire Ordinance Case.
