60,000 Tickets will be sold at $2,50 Coin, each.
It is proposed to erect in the vicinity of
Grass Valley, a home for disabled and superannated miners. .
The home we propose to erect will be under
the management and direction of the following well known gentlemen, Board of Trustees: Hon. Wm. Watt, Hon. Thos, Findley,
A. B. Brady, Esq. Dudley Hoyt, Esq. and Martin Ford, Esq. allof Whom‘are residents of
Grass Valley, Nevada county, Cal. The Trustees will make and execute regulations for
the proper and economical conduct of the
ome.
Ths Home will derive some of its support
from regular monthly subscriptions of the
working mines, and from contributions from
the charitably Steposed of all classes. It is
believed that in this way the Home can be
maintained when it is once established
The necessity o. such a nome is demonstrated every day. Mining accidents are frequent
and in. many instances resnit. in disability to
the subjects of them. The community is almost daily called upox to subscribe funds for
