Should one desire, who was visiting certain parts of the Arctic country, to have an abundance of these birds, I think it would be quite easy by taking small gauge shot-guns like some handy repeating shot-guns, and distributing them among the small Eskimo boys, to be able to secure them by the barre, and preserve them by that best of known methods, the intense polar cold, for at least two-thirds of the year.
