Ex-District Attorney Beng has received from R. G. Anderson of Woodstock, Virginia,.a letter asking where
the writer’s father, ‘‘Sandy’”’ Anderson; is buried. The deceased was a
lawyer whose home was this city and
he was able and successful in his profession. He was oneof the. passen-.
gers on the ill-fated steamer Pear!

A Mean Trick.

James Nickless, a miner, died of consumption about 6 o’clock Sunday evening at bis home on Adams street,

Saturday’s Bee says: On Tuesday

Hotel ahd registered as C. W. Osborn,
_. Truckee, He appeared to be ill, and,
after being shown to his room, became
-worse. His condition became alarming last night and he was taken to the
County Hospital. He grew steadily
worse, however, and” died this morning. Deceased was about 40 years of
age anda cook by occupation. It is
believed that death resulted from an
abscess on the brain.
