ANOTHER CHANCE for PUZZLE WORKERS
THE :
Judge's Second Prize Offering
In Behalf of the
Grant Monument Fund.
NSPITE OF ITS MORF OR LESS COMplicated character, tue JupGr’s Grand
. Word Cop tesh just enced has proved a great
success. By it JupGe has enlisted over
3,000 energetic, spirited and intelligent
workers for the Grant Fund, has materially
swelled the total previously received
through the Grant Monument Committee,
by the contribution of a good sized cheek,
and has in addition divided $600 among
eight successful and happy,.puzzle workers
asa reward fortheir labor and -ingenuity.
JUDGE now inaugurates a second contest of
an even more popular character than the
first—a contest in which every school child
can engage and stand an equal chance with
older competitors.
Every person who, in conformance
with governing rules, sends to the JuDGE
Grant Fund.on or before June 15th, 1887,
(12 o'clock), 50 cents andthe names of the
eleven most popuee living menin America
will be entitled to participate in the contest.
The money thus received will be appropriated as follows:
Twenty-five cents will at once be credited
tothe Grant Fund. «
The remaining 25 cents, after deducting
the legitimate expenses of advertising, will
be placed in acommon fund to be divided
equally among the six competitors having
the fullest list of the most popular people as
indicated by a majority of ail the lists sentin.
The new-contest is, in fact, based upon the
principles of an election, each" competitive
aper Virtually acting in the nature of a bak
ot, and the six lists containing the greater
numberofthe eleven names shown to be
the most popular by a majority of all the
lists will be the successful prize papers.
The magnitude ofthe prizes will depend
upon the amount of money received, or in
other words, onthe number of competitors.
The names and contributions of competitors will be acknowledged (and the progress
of the fund shown) from week to week in
JupGe. Governing rules in this week's
JupGE; or circular mailed on receipt of postage. Kequests for copies of paper must be

BEATTY'S Best Parlor Organs
THE LATEST STYLE, SWEETEST TONE.
Dimensions: Length 43 inches; height,
inches; depth 22 inches. ’
NEW STYLE NOW-READY FOR 1887.
EATT WS BEST is the leading style
It is beyond doubt the very best for the
money in the world.
“DESCRIPTION OF BEATTY’S BEST.
Solid Black Walnut.
cabinet or parlor organ, suitible for the parlor of a millionaire, built from the very
choicest of materials the market affords or
ready money can buy. Made after an upright Piano Forte, with three bellows combined—a new scientific plan—so as torender
all the sweetest melodies possible from tne
Golden Tongue Reeds, patented, while at
the same time doing away with so many:
stops to confuse the performer, yet at the
same time brining out sweeter music than
ever, In this Organ attention is paid more
particularly to its music, yet the case is finished very neat bu pluin, finished light, so
that the purchaser can gee for himself that
itis not imitation walnut built from pine
wood, but solid walnut, built plain, so as not
to take dust or dirt. Contains 18 full sets of
golden tongue reeds of one-half octave each,
and 1z full stops, The two knee stops throw
ou the balance.” No dummies. Equal toa
ee stop Organ. Elegantly finished and embellished with handsome polished panels
and exquisite fret work designs. Thus it
will be seen we offer an instrument having
every requisite of the most perfect parlor
Organ in a handsome solid walnut cage.
OCTA VECOUPLER
The Octave Coupler differs from those in
any other styles, und is the greatest invention of the aye in reed Organs. It is a pa
tent divided octave coupler, and couples
full five octaves, thus doubling: the power.
itis divided at the third octave, has two
coupler stops, so that the bass and treble can
be coupled tosether or separately,as desired.
It is made of strony coppered steel rods, and
isan invaluable improvement on the old
pernicious 35-cent wooden couplers in general use, which couples only four octaves,
have only one coupler stop, which warp,
swell and disarrange the entire action. ‘Tu
avoid getting a 35-cent wooden coupler, buy
no Urgan that has not two coupler stops, and
that does not couple both ways, up and
dowh. Examine thestops carefully and if
a cannot find two coupler stops do not
uy the Organ; it has a wooden coupler, and
a wooden coupler is a continual source of
annoyance, and renders an organ worthless
after a few months’ use. Best pantented
stop action to be found in the world.

Washington, New Jersey.
