County. Tke saw mills were .built near the
head of ditches which had been due to carry
on his mining operations. s&s fast as the
ditches and flumes rere built, water was then
used to carry lumber to the point where it
wes needed and later to his mines. The lur-'
ber was used in building dems, Plumes, and
sluices.
After working in the zold fields for,
several yeers Mr. Chabot grev to be u very
wealthy man. He had sent to Canada for his
