is approaching when hands and hearts will join in THE TIME an affectionate farewell; when the teachers will realize the results of patience and perseverance and when we seniors shall cast a longing look back to our Alma Mater, from which we step into a new life. The years we have spent in the school room are even now but a happy memory. The few moments of discouragement are forever forgotten and we now fully realize that we have been laying a firm fcundation for future years, upon which we have been building a stronglo'd, planned and fortified by our teachers. Their interest has followed us step by step as we have advanced, and to them we extend our most sincere thanks and appreciation. Graduation has a charm, but it does not mean the end of study -—'tis but the commencement of those vocations which lie before us. \Vhatever they may be, whether they be art, music, science or mechanics, let higher education be our aim. of the Nevada City High School consider it) but THE STUDENTS just to express, through the medium of the Qui! their great appreciation of the ability, work an‘ veneralship of Prof.Hahn. In his position he has been enabled to brin2 our school nearer the high standard that the people of this schooi district have been anxious that we shculd attain. We who graduate doubtless realize most fully what one short term can mean, when teacher and pupil work together harmoniously.
