ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF THE
GRASS VALLEY FRUIT LANDS COMPANY.
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That we the undersigned eacn of
whom igs a citizen and resident of the State of California have this
day voluntarily associated ourselves together for the purpose of
rorming acorporation under the laws of the State of California,
AND WE HEREBY CERTIFY,
First, That the name of said corporation shall be GRASS VALLEY
FRUIT LANDS COMPANY.
Second, That the purposes for which this corporation is formed
are to buy and otherwise acquire, hold and own, Manage, operate,
improve anddevelop, sell or otherwise dispose of, or mortgage lands,
real estate and personal property and interests and rignts in and to
real estate and personal property, to loan or borrow money, to enter
into agreements concerning the Planting of orchards on lands, and
agreements for the care of property sold or agreed to be sold for cash
or on installments; also to take and acquire by ourchase, exchange
or Other lawful imeans and to hold, own, sell and otherwise dispose
of the capital stock and bonds of other corporations and generally
to do any and all other things necessary or advigable to carry out
the foregoing purposes of this corporation.
Third, That the the place where the principal business of said
corporation is to be transacted is Grass Valley, Nevada County, California,.
Fourth, That the term for which said corporation is to exist
is firtty years from and after the date or this incorporation,
Fifth, That the number of directors or trustees of said
