gq ant Scientific Press, ee From the Stock Circular of Associated Brokers of the 8. F. Stock & Exchange Board. = San Frascisco, Satcroay Morsine, March 17,1866. Meney contiow:s nbundant, and there ts oo difficulty in negotiating anything erdmurily uceeptable in Baok. ‘The demand upon MMising Stock eullaterals ts active, and certain shares are io more favor with cnpitalists than for months past, as a basis for loans on short time. Rates of interest etill rule at L@@t1¢ @ cent. per month in Bank, ond nt 11 7@1 sy for outsidn transactions. ’ ‘The busiuess of the Bourd during the week has been much heuvivr than ogual, Suime leading stocks lave improved, and are finnly held at the advanee, while othera wero exceedingly buoyant ot fluctuating rates, and closod with less strength than at the date of our last reyrt. A nomber of cluinis are new yielding lnrgely, and their prescnt eonditivn is such as tu insure tho belief that they ure not likely to become less preduetive fer sume time to come, One Company las Jared its first dividend ; several are out of debt. with a reserve on hand, and others are preparing to uceaniulate a find for stoekholders. ‘More economy, and better julzinent now snems to be used in the adquinistration of the affairs of these Companies, aud ths good results of sueli a policy will soon be appurent in increased profits, A camber of low-priced Stocks have been uetive this week, aod [urined quite a feature of the daily transactions. Crown Point lias met with small snles; opening at $1,350, receding to $1,290, rallying to $1,300, then selling nt $1,175—ex dividend of $50 per foot—und closing yesterday at $1,150 bid. Since the lst instant, tlle reeeipts of Bullion huve exceeded $40,000, and during the week ending the 9th, 700 tons of ore were extracted Irom the mine. In ranning sotith, 23 feot from the north line on tho lower level, an improvement hus taken place, ond the tacline from that level now down 27 feet (G0 feet from the uorth line), is also looking well. In’ the openings already male on the sixth station, a body of ore 20 feet wide and 90 feet in length, has been develeped without having reaeled its limits. Meeeipts of Bullion duriug the first half of this month, umvuunted to suine $70,0U0, and the Company are now said to be out of deht, excluding the monthly intallmeuts due upon the Minnesota Mill. ‘Ihe average yield ol 2,400 tous of seeoud-class ore last month, Was $50.22 per tou, and 100 tons first-elass ore produced $300 per ten. Gould & Curry has been dull and inactive, and trifling sales were made ut $1,050, seller 15, closing at $975 bid. Vhe Illinvis Mill erushed 345 tons, producing $29.13 per tun. ‘The west drift trom the south shalt has now renched a promising body of ere, the porphyritic lormution buving disappeared. ‘This deposit is thought to be identieul with the west stratum of the Crown Point Company. Ophir has been exceedingly octive, nnd 483 feet were deult in, reeeding from $760 to S640, rallying to S700, declining to $600, again rallying to $700, dreppiug to $650, nui selling yesterduy nt $620@$635.
