Tus Parent Orrice.—The number of patents
issued by the Commissioner for the week ending with the 30th of April last, was 221. The
nomber which were to have heen issued for the
week ending May 30th, was 188. The hnsiness of the Patent office is increasing very .
rapidly at the present time. The force of examiners and clerks only, now employed in the
office, reaches 240. There are upwards of
50,000 models on exhibition there.
