It tells concisely what the objects of the convention of Monday next are— ‘to olect Jourteen delegates to a State convention, and a county Central Committee. That . is plain enough for anybody butafoul. The ‘custom of the party has been to have two county cenventions. It was so last year and the year before. The call this year is in exact accordance with the custom of the party. Everybody who knows anything about the custom, knows this. If men intend to edit papers, they had better post themselves a little, before lnoking as wise as an owl with far leas wisdom than the ow! possesses. Tithe call said nothing about nominating county officers, it does not follow that there was some scheme behind, It was not the business of the present county committee to eal! & convention te nominate county officers.
