this deed. His wife had dissuaded him from
duing it sooner than he did. Mr. Birkbeck.

verge of the grave He is about 60 years

Yankee Jim’s to Pattisen’s ranch, thence

thence up the North Fork on the Hill Side
and croseng the river near the mouth of
Bunch, or Illinwistown Canion, thence up sid .
Canion to the stage read from Llinvistown to
Auburn; thence crossing said road intu and
down 4 ravine leading t» Bear River thenee
from said ravine up and crossing Bear Rivr
er to « place known as Widow McGuire's in
Nevada County; thence out through a gep in
the ridge to the junction of North and Southf
Wolf Creek; thener by the nearest practicable reute to Grass Valley. The company
will meet at Dutch Flat on the 15th inet.
New roxds are continually being made to this
county in all directions.
Pr Mr. Keller, of Grass Valley. will shortly open his Gymnasium on Main street, with
all the new improvements of horizontal bars.
