_ ANOTHER FINE FOR SHOOTING QUAILS.
A. well known sportsman of Grass Valley,
who, like alk true sportsmen, respects the
game law and wishes to see it respected by
others,.came on a visit to Nevada yesterday,

street, with a gun on his shoulder atd carrying. a game bag in his hand. Thiitking he
:ould smell quails, the sportsman walked up
to the man and desired to be shown the conHents of the bag, pulling a quail from a numer in it at thé-same time. He then gave him
understand that-he might purchase his
ame if he would go with-him. «This being
precisely what the man with the quails wished
e unsuspéetingly-followed his newly found
ustomer, who led him to Judge Smith's
office, where he lodged a complaint against.
im, whieh resulted in Judge Smith fining
nim $25, for violating the game law.
