A. well known sportsman of Grass Valley, who, like alk true sportsmen, respects the game law and wishes to see it respected by others,.came on a visit to Nevada yesterday, ; and whilst standing in front of the National Exchange, espied an hombre passing in the street, with a gun on his shoulder atd carrying. a game bag in his hand. Thiitking he :ould smell quails, the sportsman walked up to the man and desired to be shown the conHents of the bag, pulling a quail from a numer in it at thé-same time.
