New Methodist Church.
Work npon the new Methodist Church
will be commenced as soon as the weather
becomes thoroughly settled. . It is proposed
te put ap a-building something similar to
the old one, althongh several changes
will be made in the arrangement of it. A
beifry twelve feet square will be erected in
front of the building, in the ¢enter, ‘but
there will be no lofty steep'e as formerly,
only a cupola or dome surmounting the
beutry, Steps will ead up through the
lower part of the tower into the church,
thus giving a siraight entrance to the building. In the basement or vestry the pastor’s
atudy and the small class reom will be
changed from the front tu the rear of the
building and the furnace will occupy a fireproof pit or cellar underneath the back end
of the uuilding. _The--basement, instead_ot
being painted dark inside, as formerly, will
be tinished in white or some other light
color. A portion of the front of the burned
building may possibly be utilized, It is
thought that the new church will be ready
for occupancy by the Ist of August.
