John Bianchi, the barber who was arrested in this city a few months ago on a charge of adultery and sentenced to serve six months in the county jail, made an attempt to commit suicide He obtained from a fellow prisoner a small bottle half full of tincture of arnica, and swallowed the liquid at one draught. Going to Alaska Overland. Republican: Supervisor McPhetres met two men out at Prosser Creek Monday on theirway to Klondyke. They bad seven fine horses and were going overland. One of the men had been there before and knew the country and had made a stake, but had spent all in this State. All he had left was his horses and he could not afford to sell them for the prices they would bring bere, so he has started out overland with them. He says they will be valuable there.
