Station at Chicago Park, a man was seen Was Seeing a Friend off. —— Tidings : Wednesday night as. the train which leaves here for Colfax at 10 o’clock in charge of Conductor Clarke, neared the standing on the platform with a lantern. When the train approached the man stepped off the platform on to the track in front of the train. The trainmen stopped the train as soon as possible and went back to look for the man, expecting to find his remains scattered along the track. They could find nothing of him, but on Icoking on the cowcatcher found him: sitting there. He wad not badly injured and explained his actions by saying that he wished to stop the train to bid a friend good-bye. The man is a woodchopper in the employ of John White County Official Directory.
