George Kohler Jr., the young man who was stricken with paralysis several days ago and brought down from the Central House for treatment, is now able to walk around, One arm is still paralyzed. P. J. G. Kenna, who spent the larger part of. his earlier life at Cherokee, and is now one of San Francisco’s prominent public men, arrived here Saturday evening. No town ever grew without an aetive assistance >from its newspaper, Nor can papers grow and build up their localities without the assistance of thetown. General William Mahone of Virginia sat in Chamberlin’s, deeply interested in a well bound volume of substantial size.
