A new method of safe cracking was tried here and failed only because of an accident. The burglars were expert electricians. They tapped a circuit of high voltage and, leading the current to the safe, connected it by one wire’ with the hingé of the door, while with a carbon attached to another wire they proceeded to burn holes in the safe,.
