Invitation” was the topic of Rev. Shepard’s
sermon, and the text: ‘‘Ho, every one that
thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he
that hath no money, come, buy, and eat;
yea, come, buy wine and milk without
money and without: price;”-and “wherefore
do ye spend money for that which is not
bread? and. your labour for that which
satisfieth nob?, .Hearken. diligently unto

How Much Do Dogs Know?
This is*rather a difficult gaéstion to
answer. A dog about 8 yeafs old is no
doubt wiser far than a cbild double that
age. At 6 a dog isin his zenith, and

this time, although he cannot speak, except. in a dof dumb language, he
knows everything that is said about him
