Large rads of Land to be Divided Up e gaes ~~ In the course of a communication to the lowing to say of Northern California, which ie good news for the people in general : “The growth of Northern California has' ven fetarded by its ‘system of large land dings. The best lands of the great valaes ed _~ Yeya of California have been unavailable for colonization. This combination ~ jhas been formed in the hope of opening an ex:tensive region to settlement, presenting the ibroadest, most striking enterprise in this }line ever suggeated. That combination. has :now beep completed by the signature of the . owners of the land to documents which comimit them fora limited to a joint effort to open these large and most fertile areas td settlement.. What is required is sufficient .capital to launch this enterprise. Its magni}itade and its merit will do the rest. ‘In this ‘combination of lands embracing nearly ’ saeventy-four miles navigable water front on tthe Sacramento river, is found an opporunity for breaking through at once the one thitherto insurmountable obstacle to the ssattlement ofthe Sacramento Valley. These ‘Wands have been combined at rates which ywill justify their offering at less than half tthe prigé-heretofore offered for colony lands. In, The Beginning ; Of a new year, when the winter se of close confinement is only half gone, many find that their health begin break down, that the least exposure threatens sickness. It is then as well. as at all other times, and ith people even in good health, that the following facts. should be remembered, namely: that Hood’s Sarsaparilla leads verything in the way of medicines; that it ecomplishes the greatest cures in the world, as the largest sale in the world, and reaires the largest building inthe world deoted exclusively to the preparation of the proprictary medicine. Does not this conclusively prove, if you are sick, that Hood’s Sarsapirilla is the medicine for you<to take? s 22 > -0@e Tux world-wide reputation of Ayer’s Hair hair and scalp. This incomparable preparation restores the original color to gray and faded hair, and imparts the gloss and freshnegs so much desired by all clases of people. . Not Alarmed. oo Appeal: For the edfication of some of the good-people in towns in all directions. from Marysville we desire to say that. until the water in the Yuba river marks twenty feet we wcn’t begin te feel uncomfortable and that we will not feel any danger and until about two feet has been added to that will actual danger be reached. So much for Mary:ville. Whenever there is a twenty feet measure in the Yuba the water in the} Sacra:nento will be up around the State Capitol in the city of that name and quite a numer of the towns now doing so much talking concerning this city will either be washed away or flooded. Tuinx or Tus, Hood's Sarsaparilla “is the only true blood purifierprominently in the public eye today. It cures diseasé when all otliers fail, because it makes pure blood. +@e Attention! As 4 special inducement the Professor will treat, for the first tliree weeks, every case free of charge, in order to convince the public of his skill and ability, and to establish bis reputation, No charge for medicine. j20 A Baby’s Life Saved. “My beby had croup and was saved by Shiloh’s Cure,” writes Mrs. J.
