Bombs, fire-crackers and the discharge of fire-arms, intermingled with the blowing of fish-horns, steam-whistles and the merry ringing of many bells, formed an aggregation which well sustained the reputation of our city’s midnight revelers of doing things up in shape. One of the new and pleasing features was the rendering of choice band music by Rivela’s superb aggregation of fine m usiciaus. The music rendered served to put new life into the people about town aud drew large throngs of listeners, who were; greatly delighted and showed their appreciation by frequent applause and cheering.
