Brown, says that the east-bound passenger train collided with a freight train near that place. Nobody was hurt, but in. consequence of the accident the paseenger train was delayed two hours. Muller and Hunt perlast evening where he has-been for the past oe ; formed a surgical operation upon Phil Byrne, the carpenter and. contractor, who some time ago injured the shin bone of his right leg. The injury caused the bone to become slightly diseased, necrosis having set in, and it was necessary to lay the bone bare and remove the diseased portion in order to stop further decay of the bone, The operation is a very simple one and was quickly and successfully performed. It is the opinion of the doctors that Byrne will improve right aloug now, although it will be some time before he will be able to use his leg.
