To St. Louis Exposition
Proved to Be a
Success,
The first excursion to the St. Louis
Exposition under the auspices of the
California State Board of Trade proved
to be.eneh a success and of so much
value to this State that the Board has
decided to ran another excursion, consisting of two special trains, leaving
Oalifornia October 3d via the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific roads.
The firet train will be made up of 100
baeiness men and representative citizens. The second train, which will

up of business men and their families,
These trains, which willbe of the
finest Pullman equipment and going
through te-St. Louis without change,
three daye time from: Oalifornia to St.
Louis, The excarsionists will reach
St. Louie October 6th and Commisaloner Filoher will arrange for a reception at the California State Building on October 7th. ‘Much good will
come to thie State from those excursions and the business men of California should make their reservations
as early as possible through the Oallfornia State. Board of Trade, for the
reason that only a limited number
will be taken.
The round trip rates will be $67.50,
tickets first-class, good for 90 days,
with stop-over privileges on the retarn
trip, the route of which will be optlonal with purchasers, bat the majority of the party will return by the
Santa Fe, visiting the Grand Oanyor.

New York, June 16.—The ecenes at

A Pistol Duel.
Welle-Fargo Express Company, who
shot and killed Otto Moore at Naco
last night, will, it is believed, die from
the effects, of the. wound received in
the deadly pistol duel. Moore and
Bonhauser became involved in a dispute. over some baggage or express
package, and from accounts reported,
