This will be a rare opportunity to meet in free consultation with one of the greatest
Specialists of the 19th century, namely, Dr. © toddart, who has’ been examining physician and consulting physician of the Liebix, World Dispensary,of San Francisco for the
last 18 years. It is said that the Doct), has treated the greatest number of patients in
tat time that have ever been knowr, to be treated by one phystvian, His experience in
the treatment of Chronic, private and complicated diseases of men and women has given
him such knowledge that few cases have ever been known to battle hia great skill.
Everyone requiring expert treatment for Chronic Diseases of the Eye, Kar, Nose,
Throat, Skin, Blood and Reproductive and Nervous systems should not fail to meet the
Doctor. We understand that the first month’s treatruent will be free, so that all cured
may be able to herald the good news to their friends and fellow-citizens. The office
hours will doubtless be in the forenoon, afternoon and evening, but it would be well for
all those who can to call during the forenoon, if possible.
The Liebig World Dispensary has been in/honerable existence on the Pacific Coast
for nearly a quarter of a ceutury. They are npt like many of the unknown who visit our
city but once or twice in a lifetime and. pass away never to return. Dr, Liebig & Co,
have been visiting this city for very many years. “Their business is conducted honorably and sacredly, confidential and with a view of giving the greatest relief possible.
Many marvelous cures have been performed by them throughout Nevada County since
the early days of California.

Complaint Against Lord Houghton.
The, latestgrievance “discovered by
the Parnellites is weH founded and ‘is
calculated to win them ‘genéral popular
sympathy in Ireland. It is that the lord

that Lord~Houghton spends as little
time as possible in the country from
which he draws his salary of £20,000
ayear. The Irish people could very well
do without bis lordship, but they naturally grieve as business men as well as
patriots to see that good money is spent
out of the country, especially as they
have provided it out of funds none too

After running a tunnel 150 feet through
hard rock, at the Odin drift mine, gravel
has at last been struck and the indications
are that the channel will prove both rich
and extensive. The company have been
doing dead work for the past six months,
but from this:or it.is expected that pay dirt
will be taken out and that the mine will
soon be on a paying basis.
We learn that rich gravel was struck in
thie Centennial mine, between this city and
Washington, yesterday.

Spurious-Vaecine Points,
Dr. Maximilian Herzog, a yourg German physician, has set the medical fraternity of Milwaukee by the ears and
has incidentally created a sensation in
other circles. Ho-has been spending some
time in the smallpox hospital_there,
making investigations and experiments,
and announces as a result that a large
percentage of the vaccine points used in
medical practice are spurious, having
been dipped not in a genuine virus, but
in croton oil or other local irritant, He
has made microscopic and chemieal examinations of these points and: invites
doubting physicians to make the same
tests. He is a believer-in-the-efficacy of
proper vaccination and is severe in his
denunciation of the en who make the
