“The merchants and traders of Sierra Valley contemplate putting on freight teams
this Spring, as soon as the road over the
Mountains between the valley and Sierra
City is free from snow, to haul their goods
from Marysville, whichthey, claim can be
done fer from one-fourth to one half cent
less per pound than they-are now paying the
Southern. Pacific read via Truckee. There
are plenty of horses and freight wagons idle,
and it will cost nothing to fit them. for the
road. The late advance in freight charges
on Ne Southern. -Pacific road causes this
