Gartner, the proprietors of the large planing mills at Fourth and Clay streets, engaged in a flerce fight at the mill this morning in which a number of employes took part. .The trouble arose over McManus ordering Gartner’s boy to quit the shop. Words were followed by blows. Gartner hit McManus on the head six times with a bammer. Then the latter’s bcy rushed in and broke Gartner’s nose and juw. Several employes then jumped into the fight. When it was all over, the proprietors of the mill were carted to the Receiving Hospital for repaira.
