The Champion mine will have thei: hoisting works completed this week : when sinking will be resumed in the , shaft which is now down forty-five aca / feet with twenty feet of water in it. When the pump gets started it will not take over three or four hours ti pump the water out. The hoisting works will be run by an 8-foot Pelton wheel, with a pressure of 110 feet. The mill for the crushing and working of the quartz taken from the mine will be cominenced this week, and it is expected to be completed and ready for: work in three months. Twelve or fif teen men will be employed in the mine within a few days. The Mountaineer mine is looking splendid, and employing about forty men. The Banner mine is improving in the quality of the rock as work proSresses.
