Nevada City, Nevada County,
se
trict is keeping the roads under his
care'in splendid condition for the
limited funds which he has at his
disposal for that purpose. On the
San Juan road, just-below the watering tank this side of Rock creek,
astone wall has been constructed
to prevent the road from sliding
off into the ravine, a8 it has been
in danger of doing. The turnpike
between this city and Grass Valley has been greatly improved in
the neighborhood of Glenbrook
Park by putting on 150 loads of
rock from the dump pile of the
New England mine, In due time,
when the rocks have been worn
down a little by travel that will be
_ one of the best piece of artificial
road-bed in the county.
