I Wonder when the singing haveltsers:
Will sing their last crude song and go their way

In good plain language what they have to say.

radio. ‘It is’said that the purveyors of radio entertainment and the producers of radio ads, rate the listening
public as ten-year-olds and act accordingly. Of course,
. the child mind lingers many times far beyond its alloted
span of years, but some adults have grown up minds
and these people may belong to prospective buyers.
'There is, however, a bit of psychology i in the-ginging ad; foolish words linked to catchy music, lingeréin
the memory, repeating itself over and over, till -we are
literally hounded into purchasing some highly rythmic
Jarticle. The only escape from this type of hypnosis, is
to turn the dial.
The average radio program needs streamlihing;
producers seem to forget that their programs are for
=. home use as well as for. studio listening. With this
fact in mind, they should improve their modus operandi. Take the gag for instance;. read it backward and
it is still a gag. The gagomaniac, ‘probably chuckles as
he thinks, “a poor thing, but my own.” The gagster
works overtime and feeds upon the gales of hilarity
which—in the studio, follows each one of his abortive

We can only hope that the fovehscomting'< campaign
will lack the undesirable features displayed ‘in nearly
every presidential campaign since American history
began. Let’s repudiate the political aspirant who resorts to name calling, smearing and general vituperation, Let's give our attention to the man who stands
up and tells his story in plain, understandable English
and scorns to resort to the old tricks of former days.
Let's if possible, select men who are capable of
leading America through the critical days ahead; they
should be “men who match our mountains, men, who
think clearly and dispassionately, and act courageously,
men whose vision is unclouded by prejudice, bigotry
and intolerance; gallant men who are above the uglithem we owe our allegiance in this time of stre
confusion. Let’s pick our favorites with consciertious
care; their fitness for the highest position within the
gift of the nation, lays a heavy responsibility upon their
shoulders; take time to inspect this record andi listen
to their words. With so much at stake, the franchise
lays a heavy burden of responsibility upon us all.
