View Flooded Areas—
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Weege motored to the flooded areas around
and in Marysville during the past
week end. They drove to the bridge
over the Feather river between Yuba
City and Marysville and saw crews
of men placing sand bags along the
river banks to keep water out of
Marysville. The water was trickling
out from the bottom of the wall of
sand bags and they decided to get
out at once. The extremely high
water was caused by the junction of
the Yuba and Feather rivers at
Marysville. Both rivers were raging
torrents and yast areas were inundated ip all directions from the two
cities.
