Governor Olson’s record high budget and his new tax proposals, it is generally agreed, against his program— and eventually led to collapse of his whole New Deal framework. But the fight is far from finished. Refusing to take “‘no’’ for an answer the governor has spent the last few days discussing plans with his supporters for a wholesale ‘‘purge‘”’ of the legislature to rid it of those who fought his proposals. And the governor’s foes, not to be caught napping, will spring a recall against the governor at the first sign of gubernatorial efforts at retaliation. The battle promises to-go on all summer! J. H.
