Through the Jaycees, Hafelfinger said, he has become more
aware of problems in our county.
"The Jaycees have given me
the opportunity to study different environmental problems
found in many communities all
over the State of California,"
Hafelfinger has taken an active part in several issues concerning zoning matters in District I.
For the past two years he
has been active in the school
system. He has been part of
a committee designed to evaluate the Pleasant Ridge School

DALE HAFELFINGER
sides to every situation and it
has always been my philosophy
to hear both points of view.
"It should be obvious to many
of our government representatives that many people neglect
to voice their opinion, for whatever reason, on major issues.
It should be the responsibility
of the elected representative to
establish a strong line of communication with the people he
rcpresents.
"To often before the election
candidates are more than responsive to the voters only to
fail with their obligations after
being elected. I plan to build a
effective communication line.
"There are many problems
in District I, as there are in
the whole of Nevada County. I
would like to spend my time and
effort, with much enthusiasm
trying to solve these problems,"
