These things may not entirely account for the busy and successful meeting but they surely helped. The 1970 budget was accepted and will be presented to the County Chamber in a bid for financial aid, The budget anticipates completing restoration of the Blacksmith Shop, a successful Secession Day celebration, and new signs for the town and all its streets. The enthusiastic Blacksmith Shop committee has already overcome their first obstacles, They have almost enough volunteer helpers, a proper restructuring plan is being prepared for the inspector, and they have a pledge of suitable ‘old timbers, ‘They will get to work just as soon as the weather and the inspector.allow.
