Doctor William Curless . pubiishes the following card today in che ‘Truckee Republican, and it is a fair index of the’sentiment of the community : “It is reported thatI have a wood contract with Chinamen. [he report is too true. -I own land, and before the agitation was ‘sommenced I gave Chinamen the privilege of cutting wood thereon. [do not know how to get rid o. ny contract, but Iam so far. in sympathy with the moyement chat, if it be necessary, that every stick of timber on my land oe burned in order to make the Shinese go, I shall not complain. { have no sympathy.with any one who is not willing to make per jonal sacrifices in order to rid the sommunity from the Chinese surse.’’ ; A BELLIGERENT FIRM.
