By ‘Sern Moore Box 3 Mobilehome Ranch Ph 2736656 Our drought was definitely ended on Sunday, but not before another outside fire occurred on the property ofaMr. Mize, who lives off of the Bridgeport Road. The small fire started in an ash heap near the house, and was extinguished in about 45 minutes. Both trucks responded again, with 16 firemen. There were no injuries. According to Chief Gene Hatten, the only nonroutine feature of this fire was the fact that it was not discovered and i toh by Mr. Mize. Instead, the smoldering and expanding fire was noticed and reported by the Mc Lachlin family, who live about a quarter of a mile away. During the bazaar on Nov. 5, the siren was activated at about 4:35 p.m. Some of the men must have been on hand. Even though our firemen are speedy, they hada great deal of "head start" this time.By the way, the 'fire-belles" were quite successful with their bazaar effort. Thenext regular meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on November 15. * * * * Johnand Kitty Kari live in an 8 X 44 foot house trailer, but it is not located in a mobile home park.
