In order to put a little extra
money in the district coffer the
_ Nevada Irrigation District has
j been selling trees from
property around Scott’s Flat
Reservoir.
In 1974 a contract was made
with the Yuba River Lumber
Co. to harvest softwood from
Albert Scurr. According to
Scurr the contract was
renewed in 1975 but none was
ever granted a contract to
remove hardwoods, such as
oak.
The problem of who was to
remove the oak wood from
land owned by the public,
through the district, faced the

meeting Wednesday.
Attempting to gain a contract for the hardwood at the
meeting were the Nevada
Irrigation District employes.

Wasley said that a reasonable
price would be paid for all
wood removed.
The employe group was
