SACRAMENTO — State Controller Houston I, Flournoy to,day announced he has distri-.
buted $72,333,360 among the
state's counties as the initial
1971-72 fiscal year reimbursement for revenues lost by local
governments due to reduction of
property. tax on business inventories,
The distribution was from the
property tax relief fund which
was established by action of the
1967 Legislature as a depository for 1/14th of the revenues
from the state bank and corporation tax,
The apportionment represented 75 per cent of the amount
appropriated this year in compliance with a schedule and formula prescribed by the 1968
Legislature. The other 25 per
cent . will be apportioned next
April, The county auditors will
distribute to the cities, school
districts the actual revenues lost
by each entity. .
Many counties later will receive a one-time supplementary
allocation prescribed by the 1971
Legislature,

The new health officer of Nevada County, Dr, Bob Roberts,
announces a change of dates
for the immunization clinics.
They will be offered each month

On the first Tuesday of the
month the clinic will be in Nevada City at the Health Depart.
ment office located in the east
wing of Nevada General Hospital, The clinic held in Grass
Valley at the Veterans Memorial
Building ‘will now be on the
second Wednesday of the month,
The time for both clinics is between 1 and 2 p.m.
Immunizations for children
and adults are offered at the
above clinics free of charge,

R, F. Harless, district director of Internal Revenue Service for Northern California announced today. that eighteen IRS
offices in Northern California
will provide information and
guidance regarding the Presi\.dent's 90-day wage, price and
rent freeze program,
Harless said the following offices will answer questions the
public may have in regard to the
freezing and will also process
complaints concerned with alleged program violations: Sacramento, Room 324, Federal
Building, Ninth & "I" Streets,

"The IRS was asked to assist
the Office of Fmergency Preparedness (OEP) in theprogram
because the IRS has the resources and personnel to answer the public's questions and a
staff of experienced investigators in almost every important
population center in the United
States,"
The director also stated that,
"Although the IRS has the added
responsibility of servicing the
public with regard to the wage,
price and rent freeze the Internal Revenue Service will continue to provide tax information
assistance in all of its offices."
