Park Ban Against Dogs To Be Lifted SACRAMENTO—Starting Oct, 1, the ban against dogs overnight in state park campgrounds will be lifted for one year to give man's best friend his first chance in 22 years to be a good neighbor and camper, Also starting on that date and extending through April 30, camping and day-use fees will be reduced 50 per cent, except in those desert parks that normally receive heavy winter use, The order opening the state's 79 campgrounds to dogs was signed by Parks and Recreation Director William Penn Mott Jr. last July.
